With a diverse international background, my architecture and design services encompass different cultures, lifestyles and needs.
Receiving my architecture degree in Washington, United States (Washington State University) and a Master of Architecture degree in Florence, Italy (Syracuse University), my work draws on strong design foundations with international appeal.
I'm currently calling San Francisco home after living, working and raising a family all around the world. Following graduate school in Italy, I worked in the Florence studio of internationally acclaimed architect Massimo Carmassi, where I learned lessons on designing modern architecture within historically complex contexts. Upon returning to the United States I found my true love in residential design, working my way up to principal at one of Seattle's leading residential design studios. I next took a leap for adventure and spent six years in Asia, living, traveling and working in Hong Kong and Beijing. It opened my eyes to new considerations about life and living, and while raising three small children I co-founded a textile company, focused on making gorgeous home fabrics in an eco-friendly way. With my family we next moved back to the western hemisphere, splitting our time between Palm Springs and Buenos Aires. It's yet another dramatic change of architectural history, from the sleek mid-century modern and art deco history of the desert to the amazing context of the historic Argentine city and the traditional estancias of the campo. Now settled in San Francisco, I'm happily prepared to work with clients with diverse backgrounds, and sophisticated international experiences in helping them create a home in an amazing and diverse city.
With each geographical change I have been thrilled and surprised by the differences, and touched by the elements that tie us all together as humans who need and desire a place to call home. I approach each project with the simple purpose of creating a home that expresses the spirit of the client and the place.
